Do your New Years Resolutions include reading more? Want to meet new people? Or perhaps just find some time to relax? Join a Shared Reading group in North Liverpool.
The Reader currently has several Shared Reading groups running in North Liverpool which are welcoming new members. If you, or someone you know, is looking for an opportunity to try something new or meet new people this may be just the ticket.
Group members come together to discover and connect with great literature but you don’t need to be a big reader to enjoy Shared Reading. The group is a chance to meet new people in your community, relax with a cup of tea and some biscuits, and listen to a great story.
What is Shared Reading?
Shared Reading is an opportunity for people to come together over a good book. A small group meets regularly to read a story or poem together, stopping at certain points to discuss thoughts about has been read.
The group is led by a Reader Leader so there’s no pressure on group members to read aloud or even speak if they don’t want to. Everyone is welcome to join the group and it’s all completely free.
‘I never would have met all these people if I hadn’t come here’ – Shared Reading group member, Knowsley
