A Little, Aloud: free training for carers

A Little, Aloud is an anthology of poems and prose for reading aloud to someone you care for. Created by The Reader Organisation, it aims to pass on the pleasure and well-being that shared reading aloud can bring. A Little, Aloud was inspired by The Reader Organisation’s weekly Get Into Reading groups, including our work within  care homes for the elderly and with those living with dementia. Now we’re offering special training so that you too can use A Little, Aloud to make a difference to the person you care for.

The course is designed to give trainees a firm grounding in how to use A Little, Aloud as a shared reading resource and involves two workshops held in Liverpool City Centre (venue yet to be confirmed). Those wishing to attend can choose from two options:

Option 1: Wednesday 9th May and Monday 6th June, 10am-4pm

Option 2: Friday 11th May and Wednesday 8th June, 10am-4pm

A Little, Aloud training is absolutely free, plus we’ll pay your travel expenses. Lunch will be provided for all courses. Trainees will also receive a Certificate of Attendance for the A Little, Aloud training workshop, plus a free copy of A Little, Aloud and The Reader magazine.
