Featured Poem: New Every Morning by Susan Coolidge

A little belated but ‘Happy New Year’ to you all. Here is a short, life-affirming poem to take with you in to 2009. Enjoy.

New Every Morning

Every day is a fresh beginning,
Listen my soul to the glad refrain.
And, spite of old sorrows
And older sinning,
Troubles forecasted
And possible pain,
Take heart with the day and begin again.

  1. I realise that this is the Susan Coolidge who wrote What Katy Did and What Katy Did Next – two of my favorite books from childhood. A pleasure being reminded of her work.
